Your Base dashboard shows your battery’s estimated backup duration — giving you an idea of how long your battery can power your home during an outage.
This estimate continuously adjusts to reflect changes in your household energy demand, ensuring you always have a current understanding of your battery status.
The estimated backup duration (in hours) is calculated based on your real time energy usage. As your usage decreases, the estimate will increase.
If you have two batteries, the estimate will reflect both batteries combined.
For example, heavy usage like running multiple air conditioners might lower the estimated runtime to 4–9 hours, whereas minimizing usage to just essential appliances could extend it to 40–50 hours.
Battery Duration for a single battery system (25kWh):
15 to 24 hours (low energy usage)
8 to 12 hours (average energy usage)
3 to 4 hours (high energy usage)
Battery Duration for a dual battery system (50kWh):
30 to 48 hours (low energy usage)
15 to 24 hours (average energy usage)
5 to 8 hours (high energy usage)
Important note:
If solar is actively charging your battery during an outage, your backup duration may extend beyond the app's estimate. Solar isn’t currently factored into the calculation because predicting future solar production accurately isn’t possible.
Tips to extend your backup time:
The easiest way to extend your backup duration is by lowering your household energy consumption — turning off non-essential appliances and reducing overall usage. If solar is available and charging your battery, it may further extend your backup time, even though this isn’t reflected in the current estimate.
Troubleshooting Common App Display Questions
Why the Runtime Shows a Tilde Sign (~) The tilde (~) in the runtime estimate indicates an approximate value, such as "~4.2 hours," signifying that about 4.2 hours of backup remain. It does not signal an error.
Why the App Shows the Battery Still Installing When installing a new system, it can take 24–48 hours for the app to detect the battery fully as diagnostic checks are ongoing. Once completed, the app will display the exact battery status.
Why Advertised Backup Times Differ from the App Output Website or marketing estimates (e.g., 20–30 hours or up to 3 days) are based on scenarios of minimal appliance usage, which are ideal but not always reflective of actual household conditions. Your app's real-time calculator gives a dynamic estimate based on current energy usage.
