I'm a Base member and I have a renter. How do I transfer energy service to them?

If you have a renter living in a home you own and would like to transfer your Base energy service to them during their stay, please contact Base so we can properly set them up in our system.

Steps for a smooth transfer to a renter:

  1. Provide renter’s information: Share the renter’s name, email, and phone number with us. We’ll contact them to get their consent and activate their service with Base.

  2. Confirm the transfer date: Let us know when you’d like your service to end and the renter’s to begin — typically their move-in date. We’ll coordinate the transition to ensure no interruption in service.

  3. Notify us when they move out: When your renter is preparing to move out, please reach back out so we can transfer the energy service back to you or to a new renter.
