What does Base supply and how does it differ from ComEd?

Base Retail, LLC (an affiliate of Base Power) supplies your electricity as an Alternative Retail Energy Supplier (ARES), with ComEd maintaining distribution and emergency management responsibility. Your energy rate is indexed to be at least 15% below ComEd's price to compare. ComEd publishes their price to compare periodically, and Base's rate adjusts accordingly.
Your energy supply charges appear on your monthly ComEd bill — not as a separate Base invoice. You pay ComEd directly for your energy.
