The Base team handles everything on installation day. You just need to be reachable by text in case we need to contact you. You don’t need to be home unless your main panel is in your garage.

Installation is an all-day process, starting as early as 8 a.m. and finishing as late as 6 p.m. Here’s what to expect:

  • Material drop-off: Our team will drop off a pallet of materials in advance.

  • Crew arrival: The installation crew will arrive between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

  • Power disconnection: Prepare for a 1-2 hour window when power to your home will be temporarily turned off. This happens while we reconfigure your wiring to enable backup functionality.

  • Cleanup: Base’s team will return later that day or the next morning to collect any leftover equipment and boxes.

After the installation, please login to yourBase Dashboard and input your Wi-Fi network name and password. A permanent Wi-Fi connection is required for the battery to function properly.
