To get started with Base, you pay a $50 refundable deposit to secure your spot and kick off the permitting process. If you decide to not move forward prior to permitting, Base refunds the deposit.
Once your battery is installed, this deposit goes toward your one-time installation cost, which typically is $3,000 depending on your zip code and battery size.
Base also offers payment plans to make installation as affordable as possible. Base does not want cost to be a barrier to people who need energy backup.
After installation, you pay monthly utility bills just like you would with any energy provider. The difference is that Base guarantees your rates will be below the market average.
If you have solar, Base will also buy back any excess energy you produce at real-time wholesale rates + 3¢/kWh. To see how much you can save, send Base your latest energy bill at [email protected], and a Base energy advisor will provide a personalized cost comparison.
