How do I get reimbursed for the early termination fee from my current provider? Do I need to cancel service with my current provider?

Base will cover up to $250 of your early cancellation fees.

To get reimbursed, here’s what you do:

  1. Pay the early termination fee to your previous provider.

  2. Send proof of payment to [email protected] within 30 days of payment.

  3. Base will credit you on your next energy bill.

Base will automatically cancel service with your current provider after you activate your energy service with Base. You do not need to contact your current provider. This ensures a seamless transition with no disruption of power.

Timeline for Reimbursement

Once you submit proof of payment, Base Power will document the transaction and apply the eligible reimbursement as a credit on your account. If the credit does not appear on your upcoming bill because it has already been generated, it will be applied to the subsequent bill.
